About The Position
This position provides professional nursing care to patients requiring intravenous therapy in inpatient and outpatient settings. The role is part time and is based in the Medical Treatment Unit. The schedule is described as Monday–Friday, 8:00–4:30, with Monday–Friday rotating shifts of 7:00–3:30 and 11:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m., as well as rotating weekends from 7:00–3:30.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing.
- Current Pennsylvania nursing licensure or eligibility for licensure in Pennsylvania.
- Two years of previous experience and proficiency with IV insertion.
- Successfully complete applicable clearances outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience working with infusion ports.
- Prior experience with PICC line care and maintenance.
- Prior experience inserting PICC lines and midline catheters (IVT).
- Prior experience with outpatient IV treatments.
