About The Position

SAP America, Inc. seeks an IT Technology Services Senior Specialist at our Newtown Square, PA location to develop and provide systems, applications, products and services to optimize or automate business processes, improve work efficiency and provide expert support in operations.

Requirements

  • Six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation with a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field of study.
  • Alternatively, four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation with a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field of study.
  • Four (4) years involving each of the following: SAP Netweaver system administration, Linux OS administration and Solution Manager configuration and setup; S/4HANA architecture, upgrades, conversion, migration path, methodology and tools, and integration; SAP HANA installation, upgrades, architecture and High Availability and Disaster Recovery setup; SAP cloud solutions and integration scenarios of SAP systems with BTP, Ariba, and SuccessFactors; Analyzing customer technical requirements, organizing or coordinating experts, and driving topics to resolution; Customer landscape managed within ECS and interdependencies between systems; and Advising on critical and complex landscape changes during life cycle management, including designing and leading Specialist reports.

Responsibilities

  • Revise and update existing programs and provide required documentation.
  • Facilitate the service lifecycle and product lifecycle.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor in the safeguarding and optimization of customer investments into SAP ECS.
  • Maximize customer success by taking over responsibility for smooth end-to-end operations and lowering customers’ total cost of operation.
  • Deliver outcomes of assigned projects; work independently on topics while setting priorities having sole responsibility.
  • Represent SAP to customers.
  • Communicate clear and conveying processes and policies in a way that others can understand.
  • Advocate for the end user by having a deep understanding of end user needs, behaviors and usage patterns.
  • Promote the role of User Experience, thorough understanding of contemporary user-centered design methodologies and practices and ability to integrate those into current and future development efforts.
  • Own and understand the customer landscape managed within ECS and understand interdependencies between systems both within ECS and beyond.
  • Work as a team with Technical Service Managers (TSMs), Customer Delivery Managers (CDMs), and ECS internal service delivery to provide quality services to customers throughout the entire lifecycle.
  • Execute technical feasibility studies or solution reviews.
  • Execute and support problem management and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in de-escalation activities.
  • Contribute to the Build to Run engagement.
  • Contribute to the definition of technical standards and frameworks.
  • Support the customer or SAP services teams to build customer-specific cloud roadmaps that cover topics around Infrastructure Architecture, Technical Managed services, security, and integration.
  • Conduct monthly technical and operational reviews to measure the progress against defined Cloud architecture and roadmap.
  • Establish and drive resolution plans to resolve issues and problems to completion.
