About The Position

OTS, Inc., an IT service and computer repair shop in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, is hiring an entry-level IT Technician. This on-site position offers hands-on training for someone beginning or growing a career in information technology. The technician will prepare computer systems, assist customers with service and repair needs, learn basic diagnosis and troubleshooting, and train on Lenovo systems and warranty service processes. The role also includes learning company procedures for equipment setup, service documentation, and repair processing. Answering incoming phone calls is not an initial responsibility and may be introduced as training progresses. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break. Starting pay is $15.00–$17.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.

Nice To Haves

An associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Support, or a related field is preferred.
Basic familiarity with computer hardware, operating systems, and system setup is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Configure and prepare new computer systems for customer use.
Assist walk-in customers with computer service and repair needs.
Diagnose basic computer issues and assist with troubleshooting and repairs as skills develop.
Train on Lenovo systems, products, and equipment to qualify for warranty-related service work.
Learn company procedures for equipment setup, service documentation, and repair processing.
Provide professional and courteous customer service and contribute to a positive customer experience.
Maintain an organized, clean, and professional work area.
Perform other related technical duties as needed.
