About The Position

This role involves providing comprehensive IT support across various areas including help desk, network management, hardware troubleshooting, and system administration. The IT Technician will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems, supporting end-users, and contributing to the IT knowledge base.

Requirements

  • Must be comfortable with technology and have a desire to learn.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills and knowledge.
  • 3 years’ experience providing technical support in a Microsoft Active Directory environment with 20+ users.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Valid CA driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs, bend, stoop, sit for long periods, reach.
  • Professional, productive, organized, conscientious, polite, reliable, flexible and resourceful team-player.

Nice To Haves

  • Some understanding of Windows server, Active Directory, PowerShell and Group Policy preferred.
  • Spanish language abilities a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Preferred Certifications: Microsoft Certified Professional in Server, Desktop, or Applications related category; CompTIA A+, Server+ or Network+

Responsibilities

  • Provide end-user support (on-site and remote) and record time and work log entries on tickets.
  • Create and disable user accounts in Active Directory for new hires and departing employees.
  • Troubleshoot analog and IP camera systems (CCTV).
  • Set up new workstations and laptops, and handle warranty/RMA for bad hardware or in-house repairs.
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment for corporate offices and remote sites.
  • Contribute to the internal IT wiki and document credentials in a secure application (IT Glue).
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot routers, switches, and wireless access points.
  • Tone, terminate, and label RJ45 Ethernet cables.
  • Assign email licenses for Office 365.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot printers and copiers.
  • Provide IT orientation for new hires.
  • Enroll in training courses and/or take certifications to improve skillset.
  • Crosstrain colleagues.
  • Set up and maintain Alcatel-Lucent VoIP phones in the office.
  • Set up and maintain Ooma VoIP and FoIP service at remote sites.
  • Provide basic assistance with the cloud-based accounting system (Yardi).
  • Perform minor edits to content on the company website.
