IT Technician I - Bisbee
About The Position
Under general supervision, this position sets up and tests computers, peripherals, telecommunications equipment, and network devices and software. The IT Technician I corrects computer problems and assists System Administrators or Network Engineers. This role performs related work as required or assigned. Incumbents may work in areas such as Network Administration, Help Desk, or System Administration support. Duties can include setting up and testing computers and peripherals, installing computer software, setting up and testing telecommunications equipment, configuring and testing network communications devices and software, identifying and correcting computer problems, installing telecommunications cabling, assisting with installations, managing basic operations of the centralized computer system, maintaining records, researching hardware and software, and training users.
Requirements
- An Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Electronics, or a related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning recognized by the US Department of Education.
- Two (2) years of experience in set-up, repair, and maintenance of computers, and other related peripheral equipment.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver's license.
- Ability to be covered by county insurance.
