About The Position

Stratolaunch is a technology accelerator that engineers operationally realistic testing at Mach 5+. Our air-launched, Talon testbeds are reusable, cost-effective platforms that enable routine access to the hypersonic environment. We deliver flight data critical to validating system performance and achieving rapid technology deployment. Together with our customers, we drive innovations that are imperative to advancing national security. This position is responsible for responding to HelpDesk tickets and assisting the IT team members with more advanced tasks. The ideal candidate has a solid technical background and excellent customer service skills. You will be required to utilize our ticket queues in KACE SMA and ensure that tickets are owned and followed through to completion. The core technologies you’ll be supporting are Windows 10, Microsoft Office 365, Dell laptops and desktops, and a whole suite of engineering software including Solidworks, CATIA, MathWorks, and more. This position has a huge opportunity to grow into more advanced IT systems with increasing roles and responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting a fast paced IT environment providing end user support
  • Experience supporting a Windows network with Active Directory
  • Configuration and setup of workstations for end users
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • HelpDesk experience in an aerospace environment
  • HelpDesk experience in an engineering environment
  • HelpDesk experience in a high security environment
  • Experience with any of the following: Office365, KACE SMA, Mac OSX, Adobe CS, Engineering software such as Solidworks, CATIA, Matlab, etc., Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Crowd), Networking

Responsibilities

  • Point of contact for all end users seeking IT support
  • Management of IT tickets from time of creation to time of closure
  • Maintain our high standards of IT security
  • Assist IT Team in maintaining our computer systems environment
  • Image and deploy computers for new users
  • Setup desks including keyboards, mice, monitors, docks, etc.
  • New user creation / Password resets
  • Assist in managing and deploying engineering software
  • Help with cabling
  • Peripheral support such as printers and scanners
  • Support iPhone users with their devices
  • Troubleshoot connectivity problems
