About The Position

We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Help Desk Technician to join our IT team. This role will serve as the first point of contact for technical support, assisting employees with hardware, software, and network-related issues. The ideal candidate is a strong problem-solver with excellent communication skills and a desire to provide outstanding service. Under direct supervision of the Information Technology Director, the individual is responsible for assisting in all aspects of hospital-wide information systems and communications systems. The individual will work closely with the IT Systems Specialist in maintaining the hospital-wide information systems and communications systems of UNITY HEALTH. The individual will assist Information Technology Support Technicians and the Information Technology Director as needed. Responsible for one shift, five days per week. The incumbent is subject to overtime, on-call duty, and call back as required by the hospital.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking concepts, and hardware troubleshooting
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree in computer science or related field preferred
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a help desk or IT support role preferred
  • Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and ticketing systems is a plus
  • Familiarity with remote support tools
  • Experience in a healthcare or enterprise environment
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity best practices

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and common business applications
  • Respond to help desk tickets, emails, and phone calls in a timely and professional manner
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and standard office software
  • Set up, configure, and deploy new equipment including PCs, monitors, and peripherals
  • Manage user accounts, passwords, and permissions in Active Directory and other systems
  • Document issues, resolutions, and procedures within the ticketing system
  • Escalate complex issues to higher-level IT staff when necessary
  • Assist with system updates, patches, and routine maintenance
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment and assets
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support as needed
  • Travel to various company locations to provide onsite support as required
  • Assist in all aspects of hospital wide information systems and communications systems
  • Maintain hospital wide information systems and communications systems
  • Assist Information Technology Support Technicians as needed
  • Assist Information Technology Director as needed
