About The Position

Channel Partners is seeking a Microsoft Systems Administrator to manage and support enterprise Microsoft environments across cloud and on premises infrastructure. This role is responsible for maintaining the stability, security, and performance of critical systems, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Azure, in support of business-critical operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong troubleshooting abilities, proficiency with automation, and experience supporting modern hybrid environments at scale. This position works closely with a collaborative IT team to deliver reliable systems, implement infrastructure improvements, and support ongoing modernization initiatives across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience administering enterprise Microsoft environments
  • Strong experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
  • Hands-on administration of Microsoft 365 and Azure infrastructure and services
  • Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments
  • Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills; experience with infrastructure automation tools a plus
  • Experience with system monitoring, logging, backup, and disaster recovery solutions
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VPNs, and firewalls
  • Familiarity with Intune, Endpoint Manager, and device management preferred
  • Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper V
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft ecosystem and infrastructure
  • Ability to manage both cloud and on premise systems
  • Proactive approach to system monitoring and optimization
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator AZ 104, Microsoft 365 Administrator) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain Microsoft Windows Server environments across multiple locations
  • Manage core identity services including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and access controls
  • Administer Microsoft 365 services such as Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive
  • Support and manage Azure cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, networking, and storage
  • Design and maintain identity and access management solutions to support secure enterprise operations
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and security using enterprise monitoring and management tools
  • Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions
  • Manage patching, updates, and vulnerability remediation across on‑premises and cloud systems
  • Automate administrative tasks and system workflows using PowerShell and scripting tools
  • Lead security hardening efforts and ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and best practices
  • Collaborating with cybersecurity, network, and application teams on enterprise initiatives
  • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support, documentation, and mentorship to junior staff
