Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical related field from an accredited institution preferred.
- 2+ years related experience required.
- Intermediate knowledge of network/server administration (2 years) in a medium-sized, distributed environment (500+ users, 10-15+ company locations); installing and maintaining Windows operating systems (2 years) on server class hardware
- Network administration and troubleshooting experience (firewalls, routers, switches, APs); Microsoft Active Directory administration; Windows Server administration; O365 administration; monitoring systems; scripting and automation
Nice To Haves
- System administration and IT certifications in Microsoft, VMWare, IT security, or network related fields are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Works closely with the field support team to assure timely jobsite setups.
- Provides technical guidance to the field support team and help desk.
- Maintains, configures, and operates Windows servers, network infrastructure, and virtualization.
- Creates documentation, system diagrams, and knowledgebase articles.
- Supports and configures Active Directory infrastructure, including group policy, OU structure, account management, security, etc.
- Evaluates and installs patches, firmware updates, system updates, etc. for IT systems.
- Helps to create, maintain, and improve IT system configuration standards.
- Schedules and coordinates server and network hardware maintenance windows with field support team.
- Researches and evaluates new technologies and makes recommendations to management.
