About The Position

Liberty Behavioral & Community Services is seeking a skilled and proactive IT Systems Administrator & Project Manager to oversee and support the organization’s technology infrastructure, applications, and system implementations. This role is responsible for managing hardware, software, and network systems, while also leading key technology initiatives—including Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation, optimization, and support. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with project management capabilities to ensure efficient, secure, and scalable IT operations in a behavioral health environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required
  • Minimum 3–5 years of IT systems administration experience
  • Proven experience in EHR implementation or healthcare IT systems
  • Experience managing IT projects from planning to execution
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, and cloud environments
  • Experience with EHR platforms (e.g., Credible, Netsmart, Epic, or similar)
  • Project management skills (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Ability to travel between sites as needed
  • Ability to work occasional evenings/weekends for system updates or emergencies
  • Must pass background check

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, PMP) preferred
  • Experience in behavioral health or healthcare environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain IT infrastructure including servers, networks, cloud systems, and security protocols
  • Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware (laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers)
  • Administer software systems including Microsoft 365, cloud platforms, and internal applications
  • Ensure system uptime, performance, and data security.
  • Lead onboarding/offboarding IT setup for staff (accounts, devices, access permissions)
  • Configure and deploy hardware and software solutions across multiple sites
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide end-user support
  • Maintain inventory of IT assets and equipment
  • Lead or support EHR system implementation, upgrades, and integrations
  • Collaborate with clinical and operations teams to ensure proper system configuration
  • Provide user training and ongoing support for EHR systems
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize workflows
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute IT-related projects (system upgrades, migrations, new site setups)
  • Develop project timelines, track milestones, and ensure timely delivery
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors
  • Ensure projects align with organizational goals and compliance requirements
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and data security standards
  • Implement cybersecurity measures and monitor for vulnerabilities
  • Maintain backup systems and disaster recovery protocols
  • Maintain detailed documentation of systems, processes, and configurations
  • Generate reports on system performance, incidents, and project progress
  • Develop IT policies and procedures.
