About The Position

The main responsibilities of the IT Support Specialist is the maintenance of all computer systems and software within the company. They will ensure that these services run smoothly by monitoring their efficiency as well as security measures taken against any vulnerabilities in software programs used on a day-to-day basis, ensuring secure operation throughout every department. This role is instrumental in developing the overall culture, systems, and processes of the company from an information technology system viewpoint.

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Applications and Plex manufacturing software.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn new technologies.

  • Ability to excel in a team-based environment.
  • Ability to perform in a proactive mode, and to plan and respond accordingly.
  • Must be willing to travel on a limited basis.
  • After-hours support may be necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in computer science/Information Technology preferred OR 1-2 years’ experience in an onsite helpdesk role.

Responsibilities

  • Support production staff in day-to-day duties
  • Troubleshoot end user hardware and software issues including, but not limited to: Printer issues, Network and internet services, Active Directory authentication issues, Physical cabling issues, Workstation problems
  • Monitor and manage Ticket Queues
  • Perform hardware maintenance
  • Handle software and firmware updates when applicable
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks related to IT equipment
  • Printer support
  • Create and maintain documentation for various aspects of the environment
  • All other duties as assigned.
