About The Position

JAMHI Health & Wellness, Inc. is seeking a mission-driven and dedicated IT Support Specialist who can help our organization thrive as we help people live their own best lives. Join us as an IT Support Specialist and play a key role in supporting JAMHI employees and the technology that helps our organization deliver quality services. Under the supervision of the Director of Information Systems and Analytics, you will serve as our primary onsite technology resource, providing front-line support, maintaining end-user devices and workplace technology, and supporting the day-to-day technology operations. You will work closely with JAMHI staff, our contracted IT service provider, and technology vendors to troubleshoot issues, coordinate technology deployments, support Microsoft 365 and workplace systems, and assist with employee onboarding and offboarding. You will provide responsive and professional support for hardware, software, printing, connectivity, business applications, conference room technology, and other workplace technology needs while communicating technical information in a clear and user-friendly manner. You will also maintain technology inventory, document service requests, and identify opportunities to improve technology services and processes.

Requirements

  • An associate degree. Work experience in information technology can substitute for education on a year for year basis.
  • Two years of help desk, desktop support, technical support, or a related IT support role.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts such as Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, VPN connectivity, and cable/device troubleshooting.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check in accordance with current state regulation requirements.
  • A valid Alaska driver’s license.
  • Ability to clear the JAMHI auto insurance screening through the independent insurance carrier if driving.

Nice To Haves

  • Comp TIAA A+, Network+, or similar entry-level IT certification.
  • Experience working with or alongside a managed Service Provider (MSP).
  • Prior experience in healthcare.
