About The Position

This role will initially be remote/WFH until the Seattle office opens in January 2026, with increasing onsite support required as the opening date approaches. After the office opens, onsite support up to 5 days a week will be necessary. The specialist will be familiar with various IT concepts, practices, and procedures, relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, and performing a variety of complicated tasks. This role requires training, education, and/or experience in Computer Operations, with additional experience in computer hosting and data center operations being beneficial. The specialist will act as a subject matter expert for local IT systems, monitor service delivery and environment health, and prepare, analyze, summarize, and present data. Frequent contact with individuals outside the work group is expected, and the role involves holding oneself and others accountable for demonstrating company values and cultural behaviors.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of increasingly complex technical IT Support/Trouble Shooting across Ubuntu, Mac, and Windows.
  • Experience supporting enterprise video conference solutions.
  • Experience troubleshooting and supporting end-user networks (WiFi and LAN) across a variety of devices.
  • High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual or difficult.
  • High level of interpersonal skills used to work effectively with others, motivate employees, and elicit work output.
  • Ability to troubleshoot enterprise collaboration software such as Slack, Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills, including experience creating clear work instructions and documentation.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Corporate/unit policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related areas.
  • Knowledge of computer software and hardware in an enterprise environment.
  • Related professional certifications or related education.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Ubuntu support for 24.04 and newer versions.
  • Experience with Mac configurations and automations for deployments and ongoing support.
  • Experience with Windows hardware platform across various types of laptops and desktops.
  • Experience supporting iOS and Android phones and tablets.
  • Experience troubleshooting both common enterprise software on a variety of hardware as well as custom written internal software.
  • Ability to troubleshoot common WiFi and network issues.
  • Inventory management experience, including managing hardware inventory audits.
  • Experience supporting executives and other VIP users.
  • Experience working with ticket and project tracking tools like ServiceNow and Jira.

Responsibilities

  • Support Ubuntu, Windows, and Mac desktops and laptops for various engineering teams.
  • Support local video conference systems including upgrades, installs, and troubleshooting.
  • Support local network issues including WiFi and LAN issues.
  • Work with remote senior teams to find solutions, upgrade equipment, or for other IT collaborations.
  • Support the opening of the new Seattle office, validating all IT solutions are functional for users.
  • Provide onsite support up to 5 days a week once the office is fully opened.
  • Troubleshoot existing Ubuntu, Windows, and Mac systems and deploy new systems that meet specific hardware requirements.
  • Support new user onboarding by coordinating hardware needs and deploying solutions on day one.
  • Provide remote support for users who may not be onsite.
  • Partner with other IT teams to find solutions for Ubuntu, Mac, and Windows systems.
  • Support local video conference systems.
  • Address basic network (WiFi and LAN) needs of users.
  • Coordinate with other remote IT teams and vendors to implement local IT solutions.
