About The Position

Lumenci is hiring a part-time, hybrid IT Support Specialist to lead internal technical support, hardware provisioning, and systems administration. The role involves establishing scalable help desk processes and delivering exceptional technical support, with a focus on the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, SharePoint, and modern IT ticketing platforms. Lumenci is a premier intellectual property consulting firm specializing in patent litigation, expert witness testimony, and patent monetization for leading corporations and global law firms. The company works with over 200 clients across various sectors and has a global team of consultants and technical experts. Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on technical support, help desk administration, or systems support experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration, SharePoint site permissions/architecture, Entra ID, and Teams.
  • Demonstrated experience selecting, deploying, or managing IT service management (ITSM) and ticketing software.
  • Proven track record managing hardware deployment pipelines and troubleshooting complex OS and networking issues.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work onsite at our Austin, Texas office on scheduled days for hardware provisioning and physical IT management.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant industry certifications (such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, MS-900, CompTIA Network+, or Security+).
  • Experience creating automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate or basic scripting (PowerShell, Bash).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot integration or AI-assisted IT help desk tools.
  • Previous experience supporting professional services, legal tech, or intellectual property consulting environments.

Responsibilities

  • Administer user accounts, security groups, and access permissions across Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), and SharePoint.
  • Manage end-to-end hardware lifecycles, including configuring, imaging, deploying, and troubleshooting laptops and peripherals for local and remote employees.
  • Implement, configure, and maintain a centralized IT ticketing system to establish SLA benchmarks and incident management workflows.
  • Provide tier 2 technical troubleshooting for Windows and macOS environments, meeting room AV systems, and office network infrastructure.
  • Author clear standard operating procedures (SOPs), employee-facing troubleshooting guides, and IT onboarding/offboarding workflows.
  • Monitor endpoint compliance, enforce security best practices, and manage software license allocations.
