About The Position
The IT Support Specialist provides technical support, onsite and remotely, to system users across the organization. This position is based at Salary.com's headquarters office in Waltham, Massachusetts. The role offers a base salary range of $60,000–$65,000, plus a 10% annual bonus opportunity.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- At least 1 year of IT helpdesk experience.
- Experience supporting PC and MacBook hardware and peripherals.
- Experience with the Microsoft Office application suite.
- Experience with basic network troubleshooting.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to resolve problems efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Provide onsite and remote helpdesk assistance across the company.
- Respond to phone, email, or chat support requests concerning basic computer, application, system, device, access, or performance issues.
- Research, troubleshoot, and deliver solutions using product information, solution databases, or online resources.
- Evaluate user needs, define technical problems, and work with the team to develop solutions.
- Assist senior system engineers with infrastructure maintenance.
- Perform ongoing activities to maintain and enhance overall system performance.
