The role supports hardware, software, mobile devices, Microsoft 365 applications, user access, and connectivity, while maintaining technology assets and assisting with onboarding, offboarding, and technology deployments. The specialist independently resolves routine issues and partners with the IT Manager on larger initiatives, security efforts, and continuous improvement projects. The position is located in Smyrna, Georgia, and reports to the IT Manager. The role includes responding to employee support requests through the ticketing system, email, phone, or in person; troubleshooting Windows, Microsoft 365, printers, hardware, software, mobile devices, VPN, and connectivity issues; and documenting requests and resolutions. Additional duties include routine account administration, support for Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, endpoint security and compliance activities, maintaining technology inventory, and assisting with equipment lifecycle, refresh, and deployment projects. The specialist performs basic wired and wireless network troubleshooting, escalates complex or security-related issues as appropriate, follows IT policies and security protocols, maintains confidentiality, and may participate in occasional after-hours activities for deployments, upgrades, or business-critical support. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of related hands-on IT support experience. An associate degree or equivalent training and practical experience is preferred, as is three or more years of experience.
