About The Position
The Penn State IT Support Services is looking for enthusiastic, customer-focused intern to join our team as IT Support Specialist. These positions are part-time. The IT Support Services Intern supports day‑to‑day IT support operations while gaining exposure to multiple functions through a mix of frontline support work and structured learning activities. These are in-person positions at University Park. Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a customer-first mindset are essential.
Requirements
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Basic knowledge of IT systems and troubleshooting procedures
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in person
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues reported by users
- Provide basic IT support in various professional settings
- Follow up with users to ensure their issues have been resolved promptly
- Create and maintain documentation for IT systems and procedures
- Assist with various IT projects and initiatives
