IT Support Specialist I
About The Position
IB Abel is seeking an IT Support Specialist I to join its Information Technology department. This role will support the technology needs and operations of a leading electrical contractor. The IT Support Specialist I will be responsible for assisting in solving issues with end-user devices, systems, and related servers, as well as supporting the System Administration team with server, networking, security, and cloud deployment and maintenance activities. Requirements
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Office, Servers, and cellular devices.

- Advanced understanding of IT technical support functions.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft, Android, and iOS operating systems.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to assist System Administration team.
- Friendly attitude as this position is one of the main ways users interact with the Information Technology department.
- Experience working in an IT Support role.
Responsibilities
- Assist in providing technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and resolving technical problems.
- Respond to help desk tickets, phone calls, and emails in a timely and professional manner.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software applications.
- New hardware configuration and deployment (Laptops, Tablets, Mobile Phones etc.).
- Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Support system administration tasks, including user account management, access control, and system backups.
- Assist in maintaining server infrastructure, virtualization environments, and cloud services including system upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with IT team members on project initiatives, including system deployments, upgrades, and migrations.
- Assist in gathering requirements, conducting research, and preparing documentation for IT projects.
- Contribute to project tasks, testing, and quality assurance activities as needed.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining IT security measures, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in security audits, vulnerability assessments, and incident response activities.
- Promote awareness of cybersecurity best practices among end-users.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures.
- Asset and inventory management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
