About The Position

Kibali Gold Mine is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced IT Support Officer to support the ARK Project mine expansion feasibility study. The IT Support Officer will provide day-to-day technical support to the ARK Project team, ensuring reliable IT services, equipment, connectivity, systems access, and data support across the project.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Hardware, Computer Networking, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in IT support, preferably in networking, computer hardware, service desk, and end-user support.
• Experience supporting IT infrastructure, including Windows Server, Active Directory, SharePoint, Microsoft Applications, WebEx, and related collaboration platforms.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, user access control, data confidentiality, information protection, and secure handling of project data.
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to support users at all levels.
• Good troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritise multiple requests and respond effectively to urgent project requirements.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accurate record keeping.
• Ability to work independently, follow through on issues, and escalate appropriately.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary and multicultural project environment.

Nice To Haves

• Professional certification in ITIL, CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, Cisco, or equivalent technical certification will be an added advantage.
• A valid driver's licence will be advantageous where site or field support is required.
• Experience in a mining, construction, engineering, EPCM, project, or remote site environment will be advantageous.
• Experience supporting project offices, field-based teams, technical workshops, remote users, and multi-disciplinary project teams will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide first- and second-level technical support to project end users, including employees, consultants, contractors, and visiting technical specialists.
• Support the service delivery team to ensure that user issues are logged, prioritised, escalated where required, and resolved within agreed service levels.
• Manage service desk tickets and support the achievement of agreed service level agreements.
• Set up, maintain, and support desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile phones, printers, meeting room equipment, and other IT assets required by the project team.
• Provide IT asset management, including issuing, tracking, storing, recovering, and recording project IT equipment in line with company procedures.
• Support business and project information systems, including Element, SAP, Microsoft Applications, WebEx, SharePoint, and other approved collaboration or project support platforms.
• Provide user access support, account creation, permissions management, password resets, and troubleshooting for authorised project systems and shared workspaces.
• Assist with secure storage, backup, retrieval, and transfer of project-related electronic data and technical information.
• Support connectivity requirements for the project office, remote users, workshops, presentations, and video conferencing.
• Respond to end-user IT support requests, including equipment, connectivity, software, access, printing, and other IT-related issues.
• Work in collaboration with the IT section to support applications, networks, servers, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and other technology services required by the project.
• Promote compliance with company IT, information security, data protection, and acceptable-use policies.
