About The Position

Espey is seeking an IT Support & Cybersecurity Technician to assist with maintaining and securing the company’s IT infrastructure across manufacturing and office environments. This role is ideal for an early-career IT professional looking to grow hands-on experience in systems administration, cybersecurity, technical support, and network operations within a regulated manufacturing environment. The IT Support & Cybersecurity Technician will support day-to-day IT operations, assist with cybersecurity initiatives, troubleshoot technical issues, and help maintain secure and reliable systems that support engineering, manufacturing, and business operations.

Requirements

Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
1–3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, systems administration, or cybersecurity support
Understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, networking, and cybersecurity principles
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or production environments
Exposure to cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST or CMMC
Entry-level certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+
Eagerness to learn and grow within IT infrastructure and cybersecurity

Responsibilities

Perform routine tasks that verify security compliance
Monitor security alerts and SIEM dashboards
Review antivirus, EDR, and firewall alerts
Perform vulnerability scanning and review scan results and remediate vulnerabilities within defined guidelines
Help monitor and maintain cybersecurity tools, security updates, and system protections
Support IT documentation, inventory management, and secure system configuration
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to IT operations and cybersecurity
Create detailed and accurate work instructions for routine tasks
Provide day-to-day technical support for users across office and manufacturing environments as needed
Assist with workstation setup, hardware installation, software deployment, and troubleshooting as needed
Support network, server, and endpoint maintenance activities as needed
