About The Position

We have an existing vacancy for an IT Support Analyst to join our team of dedicated IT professionals to provide support to our internal team both on site and remote. The IT Support Analyst will communicate with our team to determine the nature of their problems, diagnose hardware or software issues, and provide productive assistance. The IT Support Analyst may also be required to install new software applications and upgrade existing hardware and software solutions. The successful candidate will have good knowledge of business software and hardware systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and good interpersonal skills. Due to the nature of the work involved in this position, the successful applicant will have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to think critically, coupled with excellent analytical skills.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience installing, configuring, and supporting a wide variety of Staff and server-based applications.
  • Experience supporting and maintaining Windows Server environments.
  • Proficient in the administration of Microsoft Office 365.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure administration.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues.
  • Knowledge of enterprise backup and recovery strategies.
  • Troubleshooting remote access issues.
  • Essential knowledge of networking concepts, including routing, subnets, and firewalls.
  • Knowledge of web services, APIs, and IP-based protocols.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple technology-related projects and engagements.
  • Ability to function effectively supporting a fast-paced, business-critical IT environment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with Staff, partners, and vendors.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Able to lift 50 Lbs.
  • Card access system administration.
  • Maintaining lists of keyholders and key distribution.
  • Administering lighting control and HVAC system.
  • Liaising with electrical, mechanical and other contactors as required.
  • Ability to assemble and move furniture as needed to effect computer connections.
  • Installing battery backup systems.
  • MDM and mobile device administration in an Apple environment.
  • Telephony (VoIP) administration and protocol knowledge.
  • Network VLAN programming and administration.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of SQL and SQL Server Management Studio will be helpful.
  • Legal software application experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge of building operations is an asset.
  • Ability to run Category 5 & 6 wiring and terminate patch panels is an asset.
  • MCSA certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Providing technical support for various systems and applications on-site or remotely.
  • Responding to staff IT support requests and tracking issues in the ticketing system.
  • Communicating with Staff to diagnose software, networking, or hardware issues.
  • Offering solutions that meet the needs of the Staff.
  • Rectifying hardware malfunctions, software issues, and networking problems.
  • Installing and configuring Staff computer systems.
  • Responsible for providing first level technical support for all system and application issues.
  • Monitoring proactively of helpdesk line and support inbox.
  • Responsible for basic troubleshooting of network issues.
  • Assists a project lead/manager on various system projects.
  • Travel to different Barriston offices as required.
  • Provide after-hours and weekend on-call support on a rotating basis.
