About The Position

Sentara Health is seeking experienced Epic professionals for opportunities across its Clinical, Revenue Cycle, and EpicAccess application teams. These roles support implementation, maintenance, optimization, and enhancement of Epic applications and related healthcare technology solutions. Depending on the position and functional area, work may include application build and configuration, workflow analysis, system testing, upgrades and enhancements, troubleshooting, optimization, and ongoing application support. Team members partner with clinical, operational, revenue cycle, and technical stakeholders to translate business needs into effective Epic solutions and improve workflows, system performance, and user experience. Opportunities may involve clinical applications, patient access and scheduling, or revenue cycle applications. Candidates are considered based on their Epic experience, certifications, and alignment with current and future openings. The role is based in Norfolk, Virginia, with multiple shifts available. The annual base-pay range for full-time employment is $89,294.40 to $131,851.20. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, on-call pay, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Sentara Health offers a comprehensive benefits package. Requirements

Three to five years of experience with Epic reporting tools.
Experience with Epic reporting tools, including Reporting Workbench, Radar dashboards, and SlicerDicer self-service reporting.
Programming experience with SQL, SSIS, R, Python, or similar tools.
Strong sense of responsibility, self-motivation, and self-management.
Curiosity, ability to learn quickly, strong exploratory analysis skills, and pride in work quality.
Ability to collaborate with others to find solutions to their questions.
Familiarity with clinical terminology or workflows.
Epic certification, accreditation, or proficiency in one or more applicable Epic applications is required or preferred depending on the specific position.
A bachelor's degree is preferred, or at least five years of relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

Nice To Haves

Epic data analytics tools experience, including Cogito, Cogito Tools Administration, Caboodle Data Model, Clarity Data Model, Access Data Model, Revenue Data Model, or Clinical Data Model.
Bachelor's degree.
Epic certification, accreditation, or proficiency in applicable Epic applications, where preferred for the specific position.

Responsibilities

Support implementation, maintenance, optimization, and enhancement of Epic applications and related healthcare technology solutions.
Build and configure applications, analyze workflows, and perform system testing, upgrades, enhancements, troubleshooting, optimization, and ongoing application support, as applicable to the position.
Collaborate with clinical, operational, revenue cycle, and technical stakeholders to translate business needs into Epic solutions.
Help improve workflows, system performance, and user experience.
Use Epic reporting tools and programming tools to support reporting and analysis, as applicable to the position.
