About The Position

The IT Specialist is responsible for installing and maintaining PC and networking equipment, including printers, servers, and network cabling. This role also involves managing daily server backups, troubleshooting and maintaining telecommunication devices (telephones, fax machines, paging systems), and supporting the automated print/apply labeling system, scanners, and photo-eyes for conveyor systems. Additionally, the IT Specialist will assist with building security systems (cameras, DVRs, badge systems) and support company-sponsored special events. Requirements

  • Experience installing and maintaining PC and networking equipment.
  • Experience with server backups.
  • Experience troubleshooting and maintaining telecommunication devices.
  • Experience with automated labeling systems, scanners, and photo-eyes.
  • Experience supporting building security systems (cameras, DVRs, badge systems).
  • Ability to support special events.

Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain all PC and networking equipment.
  • Schedule and validate preventative maintenance for company-owned printers.
  • Maintain supplies and spare equipment for PC, printer, and networking equipment.
  • Plan and install network cabling as required.
  • Perform daily backup routines for all company-owned servers.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and install communication devices and software (telephones, telephone lines, fax machines, wiring, paging system).
  • Order and replace damaged phones and issue updated local phone number listings.
  • Maintain the automated print/apply labeling system.
  • Replace and maintain Accu-Sort scanners and photo-eyes.
  • Report programming issues with conveyor systems.
  • Assist facilities personnel with conveyor timing and troubleshoot Box or Sort system issues.
  • Maintain and support onsite and off-site building security systems, including cameras, system settings, DVRs, and users.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade the Secure Perfect personnel badge system.
  • Support all company-sponsored onsite and offsite special events.
