About The Position

Parkhurst Academy is a private Christian school serving students from kindergarten through post-secondary levels. Technology plays a vital role in supporting our mission, helping us create effective learning experiences, strengthen communication, and maintain secure systems for staff, students, and families.

We are seeking a dedicated IT Specialist to manage and maintain the school’s technology systems. The IT Specialist will ensure secure and reliable access to hardware, software, and networks, while also supporting staff, students, and parents with technology needs. This role requires both technical expertise and a servant-hearted attitude to help foster a Christ-centered, efficient, and innovative school environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in IT support or systems management.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with network security and system administration.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Commitment to the Christian faith and mission of Parkhurst Academy.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
• Knowledge of website management and graphic design tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain school hardware and software systems, ensuring reliability and functionality.
• Oversee internet security and safeguard networks and data from threats.
• Provide technology support and troubleshooting for staff, students, and families.
• Maintain and update the school website to ensure accuracy and alignment with branding.
• Support graphic design and digital communication needs for school events and marketing.
• Coordinate the acquisition, installation, and maintenance of IT equipment and resources.
• Stay current on best practices in IT systems and apply them to the needs of the school.
• Perform other related duties to support the mission and operations of Parkhurst Academy.
