The IT Specialist will be responsible for installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading PC hardware/software and related equipment. This role also involves installation and occasional troubleshooting of various networked components. The specialist will interface with regional IT management on IT projects, remote jobsite setups and takedowns, and address outstanding issues. A key part of the role is responding to ITSM tickets, performing on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex desktop problems for end-users, and recommending/implementing corrective solutions. The IT Specialist will also install, configure, test, maintain, and troubleshoot user workstations, mobile devices, and related hardware/software to ensure optimal service levels. Collaboration with system engineers is expected to maintain efficient operations of the company’s desktop computing environment. The role includes maintaining an inventory of technology equipment, coordinating with LECs, ISPs, and cabling contractors, and assisting with the development of technical and procedural documentation. The IT Specialist will act as a business liaison to communicate business needs to IT management, maintain knowledge of the company's values and strategic plan, support published corporate policies, and perform additional assignments as directed by management.
