About The Position

The IT Sourcing Analyst (S1) supports the full deal life cycle for IT and related services by managing end-to-end procurement activities, including competitive bidding, contract and price negotiation, and strategic sourcing support. This role focuses on indirect procurement for IT, telecom, and professional services, overseeing a pipeline of low- to medium-complexity sourcing engagements and partnering closely with category leads and internal stakeholders to secure optimal commercial and contractual outcomes. The position offers strong exposure to enterprise-level procurement practices, strategic vendor management, and a culture grounded in integrity, focus, and stewardship.

Requirements

  • 1 to 5 years of experience in indirect buying, procurement, or purchasing.
  • Experience in IT, telecom, or professional services sourcing, strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience negotiating pricing and commercial terms with suppliers.
  • Knowledge of contract terms and conditions and the ability to interpret and apply contractual language.
  • Strong understanding of contractual terms, including risk, service levels, and commercial structures.
  • Demonstrated experience in contract negotiation and indirect sourcing.
  • Ability to manage internal and external relationships effectively, including suppliers and internal business stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage 5–10 sourcing engagements simultaneously while maintaining accurate and detailed notes.
  • High attention to detail, including the ability to track, remember, maintain, and discuss how deals evolve over time.
  • Clear and concise communication skills with the ability to explain processes, actions, and outcomes in a structured and effective way.
  • Active listening skills with the ability to understand client goals beyond cost savings and incorporate them into sourcing strategies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Own a pipeline of low- and medium-complexity sourcing engagements under $500,000 for assigned categories, with the opportunity to support larger engagements based on business demand and professional development.
  • Support Category Leads on high-complexity sourcing engagements by assisting with requisition creation, purchase order setup, and other procurement-related activities.
  • Establish effective negotiation plans for pricing and contractual terms and guide internal clients through the end-to-end contracting process.
  • Partner with Category Leads to develop and execute sourcing strategies, including competitive bids, evaluation agreements, supplier consolidation, and contract co-terming.
  • Collaborate effectively with other Category Teams, Supplier Management, Vendor Management Offices, Internal Clients, and Third-Party Risk Management to ensure alignment and compliance throughout the sourcing process.
  • Engage with business requestors to understand their requirements and translate them into clear, detailed competitive bid documentation.
  • Take ownership of the end-to-end competitive bidding process, including RFP/RFQ development, bid evaluation, and supplier selection recommendations.
  • Ensure the consistent application of fair business practices and the compliant procurement of products and services in accordance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Continuously examine and recommend ways to improve procurement standards, processes, and procedures to enhance the overall performance of the enterprise sourcing and procurement function.
  • Support departmental process improvement and technology initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency, transparency, and control within the procurement lifecycle.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned, contributing procurement expertise and supporting cross-functional initiatives as needed.
  • Maintain organized documentation and detailed notes for 5–10 concurrent sourcing engagements, tracking negotiation history and deal evolution over time.
  • Explain sourcing strategies, negotiation steps, and outcomes in a clear, concise, and compelling manner to stakeholders, demonstrating strong storytelling and communication skills.
  • Actively listen to internal clients to understand their broader goals beyond cost savings and incorporate those objectives into sourcing strategies and supplier negotiations.
