About The Position

Presidio is seeking an experienced IT Solutions Architect specializing in IT Asset Management (ITAM), with expertise implementing ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM). The role designs and implements ITAM solutions, partnering with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, architect solutions, and oversee successful implementation. It requires knowledge of ServiceNow administration, ITAM best practices, and software and hardware asset lifecycles.

This is a remote role for someone residing in the Continental United States, with travel up to 10%. The architect provides technical guidance, evaluates ITAM processes and solution performance, supports compliance and continuous improvement, and serves as an ITAM subject matter expert. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience and/or military experience; a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
• 5–8 years of proven experience as an IT Solutions Architect focused on IT Asset Management, including expertise implementing ServiceNow SAM and HAM.
• In-depth knowledge of ITAM principles, best practices, and industry standards.
• Strong understanding of software and hardware asset lifecycles, licensing models, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in ServiceNow administration, configuration, and customization related to SAM and HAM modules.
• Experience designing and implementing end-to-end ITAM solutions, including integrations with other IT systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to translate business requirements into effective ITAM designs and solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders, technical teams, business users, and vendors.
• Project management skills to drive ITAM initiatives, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities.
• Self-motivated and proactive, with a focus on continuous improvement and staying current on ITAM trends and technologies.

Nice To Haves

• ServiceNow HAM and SAM certifications.
• ITIL certification.

Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into ServiceNow SAM and HAM solution designs.
• Architect end-to-end ITAM solutions aligned with organizational goals, covering software and hardware asset lifecycles, license compliance, procurement, and disposal.
• Design and configure ServiceNow SAM and HAM modules, including workflows, data structures, reports, and dashboards.
• Collaborate with developers, administrators, and IT teams to implement and integrate ITAM solutions with the existing technology landscape.
• Provide technical guidance and support for implementation and operations, addressing technical challenges and issues.
• Assess current ITAM processes and systems, identify improvement areas, and recommend solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Stay informed about ITAM industry trends, licensing models, and regulatory requirements, and ensure solutions comply with relevant standards.
• Conduct training and knowledge-sharing activities for IT teams and end-users on ITAM best practices and ServiceNow SAM and HAM.
• Collaborate with vendors and software publishers to understand licensing terms and agreements, negotiate contracts, and optimize license utilization and costs.
• Monitor and evaluate ITAM solution performance, analyze metrics, and generate reports with insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Serve as an ITAM subject matter expert, keeping informed about emerging technologies and industry innovations and applying them to enhance ITAM capabilities.
