About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Job Administration / Production Control Technician to support a government technology environment in New York City. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in production control, job scheduling, batch processing, mainframe operations, UNIX, or PeopleSoft environments.

Requirements

3–5 years of related scheduling/production control experience.
5+ years of experience troubleshooting and documenting critical job failures and scheduling issues.
5+ years of hands-on experience with schedulers, batch processes, and cycle flows.
Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with CA Workload Automation DE, z/OS, JCL, TSO/ISPF, UNIX, PeopleSoft, or related technologies is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor production job flows using CA Workload Automation DE (dSeries) or a similar scheduling platform.
Monitor jobs running across z/OS, UNIX, and PeopleSoft environments.
Troubleshoot job failures and identify the general cause of production issues.
Escalate critical failures to appropriate technical teams.
Establish and maintain job-flow dependencies.
Execute and troubleshoot test flows.
Document production issues, job failures, and scheduling problems.
Support batch processes and cycle flows.
Perform occasional software migrations to production and test environments.
