The Quality Assurance Analyst plays a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software by designing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive test strategies. This mid-level position goes beyond test execution, focusing on test planning, risk analysis, and quality metrics. The analyst collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements, leverage AI-assisted testing tools, and drive continuous quality enhancements across the software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in software testing with multiple applications.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Tosca.
- Proficiency in SQL for data validation, test data setup, and backend testing.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools and techniques for defect detection and test optimization.
- Experience testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or similar.
- Proficient in working autonomously and within diverse teams.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Knowledge of standard IT software test design and test techniques.
- Skilled at prioritizing and executing tasks effectively in high-pressure environments.
- Quick to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
- Capable of adapting to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective at working independently and collaborating across teams, functions, and departments.
- Experienced in managing multiple assignments simultaneously
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript for test automation.
- Understanding model validation and testing in AI/ML systems.
- Experience with AI-powered testing platforms.
- Experience mentoring junior QA team members or leading QA initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Execution and documentation of testing for IT projects impacting one or multiple applications/systems.
- Providing estimates of the scope and timeframe necessary for testing a project to ensure a high-quality implementation.
- Close interaction with business customers and technical peers during the project life cycle.
- Creation and input of test data, either manually or by using tools, programs or extracted production data to execute test cases.
- Leverage AI for test optimization and prioritization.
- Analyze AI-generated insights for test planning.
- Validate AI model outputs in QA workflows.
- Definition and documentation of test plans, test cases and test scripts for IT software projects that vary from small to large in timeframe, scope, and complexity.
- Modification of test plans in accordance with changing requirements.
- Ensuring traceability from requirements through test cases.
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
- Determine what tests include in smoke and regressions suites.
- Make recommendations for risk-based testing when appropriate.
