Vesta Corporation is seeking an experienced, results-driven, customer-focused IT Projects Engineer to support and lead technology initiatives. This senior individual-contributor role plans and delivers property transitions, infrastructure upgrades, software and platform delivery, and ERP and property management system initiatives, including the move to EliseAI. The role reports directly to the VP of Information and partners with other VestaTech leaders. It has no direct reports and combines end-to-end project management with selected hands-on network, telecom, and vendor work. The position requires strong familiarity with Vesta’s technology stack, clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to earn the confidence of executives, regional managers, site staff, and vendors. The engineer leads projects from intake through closeout, managing scope, schedules, budgets, risks, resources, stakeholders, dependencies, and success criteria. The role maintains project portfolio and transition status, runs project meetings and change control, prioritizes work against department plans and capacity, and provides recommendations and updates to leadership and stakeholders. The position owns the IT workstream for new construction, acquisitions, and management takeovers, coordinating site assessments, network and firewall work, telephony, internet, endpoints, peripherals, vendors, and internal teams. The engineer may also perform selected hands-on work such as site assessments, firewall and switch configuration, telephony port-overs, and cutover validation, then confirm stable service and hand over to steady-state support. The role coordinates ERP, property management platform, software, integration, and automation initiatives, including the EliseAI migration. It manages requirements, vendor selection and statements of work, configuration or development, testing, user acceptance, training, go-live, and hypercare, while coordinating dependencies across platform, infrastructure, security, and AI enablement teams. It also manages vendors and carriers, sources quotes, supports contract negotiations, plans maintenance and refresh work, contributes to annual IT budget inputs, tracks savings, and supports security remediation projects. The engineer builds stakeholder relationships, provides proactive written status updates, maintains project documentation, and records project and technical work in Zendesk. A bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field is required, though an equivalent combination of education, certifications, and hands-on experience may substitute. The role requires at least 7–8 years of IT project management experience with demonstrable results across infrastructure, SDLC, and ERP projects. A background check, drug screening, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record are required.
