IT Project Engineer

In-Telecom•Texas, TX

About The Position

The IT Project Engineer is an individual-contributor, hands-on delivery role responsible for delivering client technology projects across Microsoft 365 and identity, network, server, cloud, endpoint, security, and compliance environments. The engineer owns assigned projects from scoping, estimates, planning, and execution through cutover, post-go-live stabilization, documentation, quality-controlled handoff to Service, and project debriefs. Projects range from many small concurrent engagements to large multi-site and multi-company programs. The role works closely with Project Management, Service Delivery, clients, vendors, and co-managed IT teams to deliver projects on scope and on schedule, with environments ready for ongoing service support. It does not own day-to-day client support after handoff. The engineer also leads client calls and check-ins, provides weekly status updates, communicates project changes and impacts, coordinates vendors toward issue resolution, maintains thorough technical and project documentation, and records time, expenses, and work notes in ConnectWise. The role uses PowerShell and other tools to automate repetitive work. Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
