About The Position

The IT Program Manager leads the disciplined execution of multiple concurrent, complex technology programs and projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring on-time, on-budget, high-quality outcomes. The role maintains operational command across active initiatives and is accountable for planning, sequencing, financial control, risk mitigation, and cross-team coordination. The position oversees project managers and cross-functional teams, manages resources and interdependencies, enforces governance and compliance requirements, and drives delivery improvements. It also owns program financials and provides structured, executive-level reporting on status, financials, risks, dependencies, and milestones. This is a hybrid role. Tuesday through Thursday are in-office days at BJ’s Club Support Center in Marlborough, Massachusetts; Monday and Friday are remote days.

Requirements

10+ years of progressive experience in technology project and program management, including success managing multiple large-scale initiatives concurrently.
Experience managing large, complex enterprise technology programs involving multiple workstreams and cross-functional teams.
Experience executing large-scale implementations using agile, waterfall, and/or hybrid methodologies, with emphasis on execution discipline and milestone control.
Ability to build business cases, manage multimillion-dollar budgets, and maintain financial control across concurrent programs.
Strong executive presence and ability to communicate status, risks, and trade-offs clearly and concisely.
Experience managing interdependencies across programs and resolving resource or priority conflicts.
Track record of delivering initiatives on schedule in fast-paced, high-accountability environments.
Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

Lead the execution of multiple concurrent, complex technology initiatives to deliver defined business outcomes on time and within budget.
Develop and manage integrated delivery plans, roadmaps, and execution frameworks coordinating cross-functional workstreams.
Oversee project managers and cross-functional teams to support consistent execution standards, milestone adherence, and accountability.
Manage resources across initiatives and address capacity constraints, priority conflicts, and interdependencies.
Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating with recommendations when executive decisions are required.
Enforce standardized governance processes, documentation, and compliance requirements across programs.
Drive continuous improvement in delivery performance and operational rigor.
Provide structured executive-level reporting on initiative status, financials, risks, dependencies, and milestone tracking.
Ensure consistent use of delivery processes, reporting templates, and governance artifacts.
Communicate proactively with stakeholders at all levels to maintain alignment and transparency.
Own program financials, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and corrective action planning.
Partner with Finance on annual planning and monthly reviews to support disciplined spend management.
Manage cost, schedule, and scope trade-offs to protect value delivery.
