About The Position

The IT Portfolio Management Analyst - SME will monitor and analyze the IT portfolio of programs and their associated capabilities and services. This role supports the evolution of the Sponsor’s strategic direction and priorities by making recommendations to aid sponsor decision-making. These recommendations will include proposed strategies and/or roadmaps, identified risks, capability and performance gaps, dependencies, alignment with the strategic framework and priorities, and funding and related program issues. The analyst will assist government clients with programmatic goals and objectives, schedules, and reports to senior-level executives. A key aspect of this role is communicating technical topics in a non-technical manner to senior-level audiences. The position requires extensive experience in collaboration across multiple entities and experience working with partners outside the U.S.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph required
  • BS degree and 12 to 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 to 13 years of prior relevant experience
  • Knowledge of portfolio, program, and project management discipline
  • Familiarity with planning, programing, Budgeting, and execution discipline
  • Knowledge of key performance indicators
  • Strong analytical competence, problem-solving, communication and organizational skills
  • U.S. Citizenship Required

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze IT portfolio of programs and their associated capabilities and Services
  • Support the evolution of the Sponsor’s strategic direction and priorities
  • Make recommendations to aid sponsor decision-making, to include proposed strategies and/or roadmaps; identified risks, capability and performance gaps, and dependencies; alignment with the strategic framework and priorities; and funding and related program issues
  • Assist government clients with programmatic goals and objectives, schedules, and reports to the senior-level executives
  • Communicate technical topics in a non-technical manner to senior-level audiences
  • Collaborate across multiple entities
  • Work with partners outside the US
  • Draft products that reflect strong writing and grammatical skills
  • Provide audience-appropriate written and verbal communications and demonstrate strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Work with seniors in diverse, fast-paced, multi-task environment managing competing priorities
  • Produce deliverables in multiple formats as needed (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Take charge of a group and set strategic guidance for a team of SMEs
  • Track upcoming deliverables and ensure team assignments are adequate to ensure all work is delivered on time
  • Ensure the customer is kept on track and aware of all upcoming deadlines
  • Proactively prepare talking points and summaries to ensure the customers are well prepared for upcoming events
