About The Position

Reporting to the IT Director, the Operations Manager oversees the organization’s end-user technology, network infrastructure, cloud services, enterprise applications, and frontline cybersecurity operations. The manager sets operational priorities, coordinates internal and external technology resources, leads systems initiatives, and provides hands-on support when needed. This role advises organizational leadership and ensures technology services are secure, reliable, responsive, and aligned with Hanna Center’s needs. This is an on-site position at Hanna Center.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in IT operations, systems administration, network support, or end-user technology services.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead IT projects, coordinate vendors or technical resources, set priorities, and communicate effectively with organizational leadership.
  • Experience managing a Windows Active Directory / Entra ID (Azure AD) domain environment.
  • Demonstrated experience administering Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Intune, and Defender.
  • Experience with network infrastructure: managed switches, wireless access points, VLANs (Meraki and/or UniFi preferred).
  • Familiarity with endpoint management and mobile device management (MDM) platforms.
  • Working knowledge of PC and Mac hardware, including laptops, desktops, tablets, and printers.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and ability to be insured by Company policy.
  • Must clear background check for a Community Care Licensed facility, including physical, TB, and drug test.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Salesforce, SharePoint, or student information systems (e.g., Aeries) is highly desirable.
  • Experience with virtual server environments, cloud-hosted migrations, project management, budgeting, or scripting and automation is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day desktop support for all staff and students, including hardware, software, and account issues.
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain laptops, desktops, Chromebooks, iPads, and printers.
  • Set up new-hire workstations, perform data transfers, and deliver onboarding IT orientation.
  • Manage device lifecycle: inventory tracking, assessment, allocation, reimaging, and decommissioning.
  • Respond to and resolve employee assistance requests concerning computer, data, and related IT issues.
  • Monitor and maintain network health via Meraki and UniFi dashboards; ensure all access points and switches remain online.
  • Configure and troubleshoot managed switches, wireless access points, and VLAN segmentation.
  • Conduct site surveys and support installation of new wireless access points as part of campus-wide connectivity upgrades.
  • Design network solutions addressing security, performance, and reliability requirements.
  • Administer Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD): manage user accounts, groups, conditional access policies, and multi-factor authentication.
  • Support Microsoft Intune Endpoint Management: develop device profiles, compliance policies, and enrollment for Windows, iOS, and Chrome OS devices.
  • Administer SharePoint Online: manage site structures, permissions, document libraries, and data loss prevention policies.
  • Support Microsoft Defender for Endpoint: review quarantine queues, configure threat protection policies, and respond to security alerts.
  • Assist with Aeries student information system administration and cloud-hosted migration activities.
  • Perform daily security checks: review Azure AD risky sign-ins, Defender quarantine, and sign-in logs.
  • Enforce two-factor authentication across enterprise accounts (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace).
  • Manage email security: maintain sender block/allow lists, investigate phishing attempts, and address email delivery issues.
  • Apply security best practices and advise leadership on risk mitigation strategies.
  • Lead and coordinate strategic IT projects, including Intune rollout, Defender and Entra integration, SharePoint restructuring, G: Drive decommissioning, and campus wireless upgrades.
  • Partner with the IT Director to establish quarterly priorities, project plans, service standards, documentation requirements, and technology roadmaps.
  • Develop and deliver end-user training on SharePoint, file management, and security awareness.
  • Manage relationships, work priorities, service expectations, and deliverables for outsourced IT consultants and technology vendors.
  • Coordinate day-to-day IT service priorities, assign or route work to the appropriate resources, monitor completion, and escalate significant risks or service issues to the IT Director.
  • Evaluate technology needs, recommend solutions and purchasing priorities, and support annual planning for systems, equipment, licensing, and contracted services.
  • Advise management and executive teams on technology risks, operational needs, solution options, and recommended best practices.
  • Oversee IT inventory, purchasing coordination, licensing, renewals, and the availability of essential technology equipment and support supplies.
