About The Position

The IT Operations Manager provides oversight and direction for the daily operations of the IT Operations department. The department provides Tier 1, 2, and 3 support for end-user desktops and laptops, printers, copiers and fax machines, A/V equipment, network administration, server administration, and inventory and materials coordination. The role is onsite in Anniston, Alabama, and requires U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain a U.S. DHS Public Trust Entrance on Duty clearance.

Requirements

• Must be a United States citizen.
• Must be eligible to obtain U.S. DHS Public Trust Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance.
• At least 7 years of professional work experience in the IT Help Desk/Service Desk field.
• Effective and professional leadership skills conducive to an empowered, well-equipped, and collaborative team environment.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or another applied IT discipline.
• MCSA certification.
• At least 5 years of proven working experience with Cisco Call Manager and Unity.
• At least 5 years of proven working experience with Active Directory.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the IT Operations department.
• Manage, assign, and monitor work orders.
• Manage and coordinate work schedules.
• Perform quality assurance of work and services provided.
• Perform quality assurance and coordinate procurement and storage of inventory and materials.
• Conduct strategic planning and manage opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Establish and coordinate project plans for major and high-profile projects.
• Establish and maintain operational process and procedure documentation.
• Train new hires and existing staff on new processes and technology.
