About The Position

Operations Analyst II is responsible for day to day operations with managing purchase orders (POs), process invoices, track procurement activities and assist with invoice discrepancies. This role acts as a primary liaison between operational teams and corporate accounting to ensure accurate expense tracking, vendor contract alignment, and process efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent experience
  • Technical hands-on experience
  • Ability to trouble shoot
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applicable IT systems/applications
  • Experience in documenting and maintaining up to date systems procedures

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for creating purchase orders (POs), overseeing their complete lifecycle, and managing invoice processing.
  • Partner with procurement and accounts payable to resolve discrepancies, billing errors, and tracking issues.
  • Continuously review transactional workflows (e.g., P-Card reconciliations, invoice routing, contract renewals) to find inefficiencies and implement improvements.
  • Prepares diagrams and evaluates existing processes.
  • Contributes to organizing, leading, facilitating, and communicating with cross-functional project teams.
  • Works on developing metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities.
  • Contributes to collection of data to identify root cause of problems.
  • Measures performance against process requirements.
  • Works on aligning improvement to performance shortfalls.
  • May deliver presentations and training courses including measurement, analysis, improvement and control.
  • Contributes to surveying and analyzing best practices for techniques and processes.
  • Contributes to performing cost and benefit analysis.
  • May act as the interdepartment interface between the user and IT areas that are responsible for training the user in the interpretation of information system reports, report capabilities, and limitations.
