About The Position

As an IT/OT Network Administrator (m/f/d) with a focus on Cisco LAN technologies, you will ensure the stability, security, and performance of our corporate and production networks. You will work in both IT and OT environments, supporting business-critical production systems and the continuous development of our network infrastructure.

Requirements

Several years of practical experience (approx. 5 to 10 years) in the administration of IT/OT networks.
In-depth understanding of corporate networks and their operation.
Extensive experience as a Cisco LAN network specialist with a strong hands-on mentality.
Very good skills in troubleshooting and resolving complex network environments.
Practical experience with enterprise campus networks.
Proficient use of professional monitoring solutions such as SolarWinds and ManageEngine OpManager.
Demonstrable experience in the operation, maintenance, and further development of Cisco LAN infrastructures in IT and OT environments.
Experience in industrial network environments.
Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as PROFINET, Modbus/TCP, and EtherNet/IP.
Understanding of network segmentation and secure, controlled communication between IT and OT networks.
In-depth knowledge in the area of Cyber Security for IT/OT environments.
Experience with network segmentation, firewall technologies, and secure access concepts.
Knowledge of relevant solutions such as Cisco ISE, Fortinet, or Palo Alto.
Familiarity with common security standards and frameworks like NIST and ISO/IEC 27001.
Experience with Microsoft Azure or AWS.
Knowledge of hybrid infrastructure architectures and migration of on-premises environments to the cloud.
Experience in cloud networking.
Strong communication skills and a service-oriented approach.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working.
High level of initiative and the ability to operate confidently in complex, cross-departmental environments.
Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of modern monitoring and observability solutions such as ManageEngine OpManager, Datadog, or SolarWinds is an advantage.
Cisco certifications such as CCNA or CCNP are desirable.
Knowledge of other foreign languages is an advantage.
Occasional travel readiness to support projects and locations.

Responsibilities

Monitoring the LAN and WLAN infrastructure with professional monitoring solutions like ManageEngine OpManager and SolarWinds, analyzing performance trends, and identifying anomalies.
Initiating preventive and corrective measures to ensure high network availability in production environments.
Planning, configuring, and operating Cisco-based network components, including Cisco Catalyst Switches, industrial Ethernet switches, Wireless Controllers, and Access Points.
Ensuring compliance with internal standards and best network practices.
Operating, supporting, and maintaining IT and OT network infrastructures.
Deploying and managing technologies such as MST, HSRP, and Multicast.
Ensuring stable and fault-tolerant network connectivity for industrial communication protocols like PROFINET, Modbus/TCP, and EtherNet/IP.
Supporting network rollouts, modernization, and infrastructure projects.
Participating in network designs, segmentation measures, and security initiatives.
Accompanying hardware introductions and technical implementations.
Analyzing and resolving complex network disruptions within the scope of 3rd-level support.
Collaborating closely with IT, OT, and production departments to ensure stable operations.
Minimizing downtime through sustainable troubleshooting and optimization measures.
