About The Position

Techo-Bloc is seeking an IT Manager to lead their IT technicians across Canada and the United States. This role involves setting clear standards, running a tight operation, and developing team members. The IT Manager will act as a liaison between the IT team and the IT Director, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, effective problem escalation, and a supportive team environment. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, evolving manufacturing environment where processes may still be defined, and will have a hand in shaping them. This role offers significant ownership and the opportunity to build processes, develop people, and foster a desirable team culture.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in IT, with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Experience in a multi-site environment, ideally manufacturing, distribution, or industrial.
  • Strong command of the Microsoft stack: Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Intune.
  • Familiarity with ERP environments.
  • Experience managing a helpdesk or ITSM platform (Jira, ServiceNow, Freshdesk, or similar).
  • Fluency in French and English is required.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Comfortable communicating technical information to technicians and presenting to senior leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • ITIL certification or equivalent service management training.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a group of IT technicians across Canada and the United States, handling hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance conversations, and decision-making.
  • Build a team culture where individuals are motivated by clear standards and genuine support.
  • Own the end-to-end IT support experience, including helpdesk and field support, ensuring Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met and tickets are resolved with urgency.
  • Manage the impact of IT issues on business operations, ensuring technology functions smoothly for employees.
  • Lead or support IT projects such as site upgrades, system rollouts, and process improvements from scoping to execution.
  • Identify patterns in recurring problems and implement upstream solutions.
  • Document effective processes to prevent redundant work.
  • Explore and implement AI solutions to enhance team efficiency and impact.
