About The Position
The IT Licensing Technician keeps the licensing engine running by owning the high-volume day-to-day activities. In this role, you'll handle request intake/fulfillment, inventory tracking, basic VAR coordination, and off-the-shelf software support. This high-ownership role ensures engineers receive tools quickly during critical campaigns.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
- 1+ years of professional experience in IT support, licensing operations, or asset tracking.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in an IT discipline.
- Strong organization skills and ability to handle high request volume in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable with spreadsheets, basic tracking tools, and attention to detail.
- Solid communication skills with technical teams and vendors.
- Exposure to software tools in aerospace/engineering environments.
- Experience in high-growth or high-cadence operations.
- Familiarity with basic licensing models or inventory systems.
Responsibilities
- Process high-volume license and user requests with speed and accuracy.
- Manage inventory, track counts, and flag issues early.
- Handle one-off/off-the-shelf software procurement, deployment, and maintenance.
- Partner with VARs for basic allocations and operational support.
- Generate simple usage reports and maintain records.
- Take repetitive toil/churn off Analysts and continuously reduce friction for users.
- Coordinate with IT Services for seamless delivery.
