IT Intern
About The Position
We are seeking a tech-savvy and motivated college intern to support our nonprofit’s IT operations. The IT Intern will assist with computer upgrades, phone setup, and day-to-day technology troubleshooting. This hands-on internship provides valuable experience in nonprofit IT systems and support services. WHEDco is committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive learning environment where interns and fellows can gain meaningful experience while contributing to projects that strengthen Bronx communities. The internship is intended to foster professional growth through mentorship, collaboration, and hands-on exposure to nonprofit community development.
Requirements
- Current college student pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Basic knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and common troubleshooting methods
- Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Interest in working with mission-driven organizations and supporting staff across departments
