About The Position

As an IT Infrastructure Intern, you'll be part of a large, national organization, working alongside incredibly talented professionals as you develop the skills you'll need to succeed. Your formal and informal learning begins on day one, working on real, mission-critical projects that must meet high expectations. The IT function at BlueLinx is constantly evolving, and we are looking for a dynamic IT Intern to support key business initiatives and growth. We are also looking for the intern to step in and make an impact from day one. The intern experience will be designed to provide opportunities to work directly with the IT team on various potential projects including: Branch Technology Lab testing & development (Barcode Scanning, LTE Wireless), Assist in Mobile Device Management, Video Surveillance optimization, API’s, network segmentation, Support ongoing projects within the Infrastructure team, Assist in documenting Infrastructure processes, Maintain dashboard metrics for Infrastructure technology across the enterprise, Provide support for the IT functions that maybe part of emerging technologies.

Requirements

• Junior or senior enrolled in a bachelor’s program, or pursuing their master’s degree, with a major in computer science or related field.
• Ability to multi-task, take initiative, is hardworking, has a dedicated outlook, and has strong organizational and follow-up skills
• Experience with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.
• Must be available to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks, though 12 weeks is preferred.
• A GPA minimum of 3.0 is required.

Responsibilities
