The IT Integration Communications Specialist is responsible for the proper installation, testing, and turn-up of technical assets; identifying design deficiencies in the field; and redesigning or modifying proposed designs. The role coordinates and directs third-party vendor support when escalation is required. Depending on level, the role requires two, five, or seven years of related experience, in addition to experience troubleshooting and repairing metering and control systems. The position installs, repairs, tests, commissions, and remotely manages telecommunications and network equipment and systems, including microwave, RF, IP, voice and data, VoIP, cameras, Wi-Fi, fiber optics, WAN/FAN/LAN, SCADA, telemetry, DWDM, radio repeaters, dispatch consoles, GPS, and related equipment. It performs end-to-end circuit testing across fiber, microwave, and copper media. The specialist may lead significant construction projects, track milestones, report status, recommend project-plan changes, and represent the assigned unit in cross-unit initiatives. This is an onsite field role in Arizona. Work may take place at an APS facility, power plant, job site, or in the community. The position may require statewide travel, outdoor work, overtime, and operation of a four-wheel-drive vehicle on primitive roads in extreme desert heat or high-altitude snow and ice. Applicants must confirm their U.S. person or non-U.S. person status for export-control compliance; certain positions may require U.S. person status.
