IT Infrastructure Engineer
About The Position
CTG is seeking to fill an IT Infrastructure Engineer position for our client. This is a permanent placement role located in Manhattan, NY. The engineer will be responsible for supporting and maintaining complex enterprise IT infrastructure and data center operations. This includes monitoring systems, troubleshooting incidents, managing changes, and supporting infrastructure projects. The role also involves planning and coordinating hardware, software, system, and infrastructure upgrades, as well as researching and implementing technology solutions to improve performance, reliability, automation, and operational efficiency. Additionally, the engineer will support disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution, and collaborate with various technical teams including storage, network, security, and data center operations. Documentation of technical issues, project status, procedures, and solutions is also a key responsibility. The position requires support for infrastructure modernization, performance tuning, workload optimization, and automation initiatives. Participation in after-hours, weekend, and 24/7 support is required.
Requirements

- 4+ years of experience in data center engineering and operations, cloud engineering and operations, or complex IT infrastructure engineering; or equivalent education and experience.
- Experience supporting medium- to large-scale enterprise environments.
- Experience with enterprise monitoring tools and infrastructure management.
- Experience collaborating across storage, network, security, and data center operations teams.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution preferred.
- Knowledge of infrastructure security frameworks and technical standards preferred.
