IT Helpdesk Campus Support Student Worker
About The Position
The Campus Support Student Worker provides customer service to customers visiting the IT Helpdesk offices and creates tickets for customers who need assistance. Support is provided in person. The position allows a maximum of 18 hours per week during the semester and up to 40 hours per week during breaks. Office hours are 8 AM–5 PM, Monday through Friday. The starting pay rate is $12.77 per hour; student employees are paid at least the current Virginia minimum wage, and pay may vary by position and department based on responsibilities, required skills, funding, and market conditions.
Requirements
- Some familiarity with customer service roles.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers.
- Create and modify tickets in the ticket management system.
- Triage customers appropriately.
- Assist with projects.
