About The Position

The IT Help Desk role at John H. Carter Co., Inc. involves a range of responsibilities focused on communication, system maintenance, and user support. The individual will be part of a call-out schedule for remote and on-site troubleshooting and resolution activities. Collaboration with development and support staff is essential to maintain product knowledge and ensure precise communications. Additionally, the role involves basic TCP/IP network troubleshooting, system installation/integration/implementation of new hardware and software, running programs per standard operating procedures, and printing reports as directed by the IT Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Assume responsibility for communication efforts, both internal and external, to ensure all parties/stakeholders have a clear understanding of accuracy and timeliness requirements.
  • Schedule and complete installations, patches, and upgrades.
  • Perform on-the-spot client/server maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Provide application support and troubleshooting of MS Windows platforms.
  • Provide user support in the installation, setup, and maintenance of MS Office Application Suite and its components.
  • Be part of a call-out schedule to provide troubleshooting and resolution activities both remotely and at location (when required).
  • Follow John H. Carter Co., Inc. policies, procedures, and methodologies.
  • Work collaboratively with development staff and support staff to maintain thorough knowledge of product capabilities, and to ensure that all communications between John H. Carter Co., Inc. and its stakeholders are precise.
  • Perform basic TCP/IP network troubleshooting, system installation/integration/implementation of new hardware and software components, run programs per standard operating procedures, print reports, and other tasks as directed by the IT Manager.
