About The Position

The IT Help Desk role at John H. Carter Co., Inc. involves managing communication efforts, both internal and external, to ensure clarity and timeliness for all stakeholders. This position requires performing installations, patches, and upgrades, as well as on-the-spot client/server maintenance and troubleshooting. The role also includes providing application support and troubleshooting for MS Windows platforms and the MS Office Application Suite. The IT Help Desk member will be part of a call-out schedule for remote and on-site troubleshooting and resolution activities. They will work independently in a fast-paced environment, adhering to company policies and methodologies, and collaborating with development and support staff to maintain product knowledge and ensure precise communication.

Requirements

  • Basic TCP/IP network troubleshooting
  • System installation /integration /implementation of new hardware and software components
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to be part of a call-out schedule

Responsibilities

  • Assume responsibility for communication efforts, both internal and external.
  • Ensure all parties/stakeholders have a clear understanding of accuracy and timeliness requirements.
  • Schedule and complete installations, patches, and upgrades.
  • Perform on-the-spot client/server maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Provide application support and troubleshooting of MS Windows platforms.
  • Provide user support in the installation, setup, and maintenance of MS Office Application Suite and its components.
  • Be part of a call-out schedule to provide troubleshooting and resolution activities both remotely and at location.
  • Work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Follow John H. Carter Co., Inc. policies, procedures, and methodologies.
  • Work collaboratively with development staff and support staff to maintain thorough knowledge of product capabilities.
  • Ensure all communications between John H. Carter Co., Inc. and its stakeholders are precise.
