About The Position

The IT Healthcare Project Manager – MMIS Operations will oversee, coordinate, and perform operations and support activities for MMIS, Encounter Processing System, and other supporting systems. This role involves managing vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with security standards, and providing production support. The position requires strong project management skills within the healthcare IT sector, with a focus on Medicaid systems.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in IT Healthcare Project Management.
  • Experience with MMIS Medicaid Systems Operational Management.
  • Knowledge of MCO enrollment, claims, and encounter processing.
  • Experience with vendor management and monitoring service level agreements.
  • Familiarity with security compliance standards such as CMS and SSA.
  • Experience with incident and issue management systems.
  • Knowledge of release management and change management processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee, coordinate, and perform operations and support activities for MMIS, Encounter Processing System, and other supporting systems.
  • Coordinate communication with vendors, cybersecurity teams, and enterprise architecture.
  • Conduct vendor management including monitoring service level agreements.
  • Design and develop desk aides and process flows for new and existing service lines.
  • Train team members to use desk aides, process flows, and ticketing systems to perform operational support.
  • Maintain an effective organizational team and motivate diverse staff to accomplish mission critical operations and objectives.
  • Provide production support, helpdesk management, interface/EDI support, and stakeholder monitoring.
  • Oversee incident and issue management, ensuring documentation, tracking, escalation, and resolution for all ticket types.
  • Identify and mitigate operational issues and ensure decisions and actions are well-documented.
  • Handle internal and external escalations and requests to ensure they are satisfactorily resolved.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and monitor all findings and recommendations to completion.
  • Promote workforce engagement and a professional work environment for all team members.
  • Implement, monitor, and follow Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Oversee release management activities including stakeholder communication, pre-implementation planning, and readiness checks.
  • Provide support to change management by performing and coordinating backlog grooming and maintenance.
