About The Position

ZGF is seeking a Healthcare Project Manager with 8-15 years of progressive experience in healthcare project management to join our Seattle, WA office. Requirements

  • Comfortable and effective in a leadership capacity to bring exceptional creativity and excellent technical knowledge to the delivery of high quality and complex healthcare projects.
  • Excellent communication skills enabling you to establish and maintain project criteria, communicate them to project teams, and manage projects with confidence and ease while ensuring design intention is maintained throughout all project phases.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills that can break down a bold vision into actionable steps, managing your team of architects to achieve extraordinary design solutions and outcomes.
  • Ability to perceive the goals of others, help to set priorities on projects and initiatives and positively motivate individuals within the context of projects and firm.
  • Excellent team communication skills, design presentation, and storytelling skills.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and passionate, and resilient.
  • Well-organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to successfully navigate complex situations requiring diplomacy, interpersonal skills and judgement.
  • Proven track-record of success with complex, multi-phase projects in a healthcare environment.
  • Knowledge and experience in delivering successful architecture/design projects which comply with relevant building, FGI, ADA, construction standards, and other related regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to develop and process fee proposals and contractual agreements for a project.
  • Experience in Design-Build, Design Bid Build, CM/GC and other forms of project delivery.
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam and Microsoft Suite; Revit proficiency a plus.
  • Professional architecture degree and a minimum of 8 years of experience in healthcare projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Licensed Architects with LEED accreditation are strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Set direction, in collaboration with each project’s Partner/Principal-in-Charge, Design Partner, Senior Designer, and Project Architect, for the execution of project goals and objectives with project team and client, define of scope, identify items for investigation, and develop novel concepts and methods.
  • Independently develop project proposals and contracts, define and manage work plans, organize and supervise design teams, participate in presentations and interviews and find creative solutions to project challenges.
  • Serve as the primary client liaison.
  • Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with healthcare clients while managing projects both large and small.
  • Proactively manage teams from concept design through construction and have a deep understanding of building, zoning, energy codes, ADA, construction standards, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Optimize every team member’s opportunity for growth and professional development.
  • Display a passion for design excellence and exceptional project delivery while pursuing the highest value possible for our clients.
  • Be a well-rounded strategic thinker with an integrated approach to design, management, and technical project resolution.
  • Seek engagement and collaboration at all levels, including the internal and external design team, clients and contractors.
  • Be responsible for the effective performance of the Project Team regarding project quality, schedule, and budget.
  • Fluidly move between project management tasks, production, and marketing as needed, dependent on office priorities.
