We are seeking a IT Finance Systems Support & Project Coordinator to join our team at our West Chicago, Illinois location. Reporting to IT Service and Infrastructure Director, this role will be playing a key role in bridging technology and finance operations by ensuring financial systems run smoothly and efficiently. This position supports day-to-day system functionality, troubleshoots issues, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement enhancements and process improvements. Additionally, the role coordinates projects by managing timelines, tracking deliverables, and facilitating communication between stakeholders, ensuring initiatives are completed on time and aligned with business goals. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Information Systems, Business, Finance, or a related field; equivalent experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
  • Experience in IT application support, ERP support, systems administration, project coordination, or business systems roles.
  • Experience supporting Finance or ERP systems, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Navision, or similar enterprise platforms preferred.
  • Experience coordinating system enhancements, testing activities, issue resolution, and vendor follow-up.
  • Experience with reporting and analysis tools, such as Microsoft Power BI, preferred.
  • Understanding Finance processes such as general ledger, AP, AR, billing, or financial reporting is highly desirable.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a business systems support environment.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, application support processes, and ticket management practices.
  • Ability to gather requirements, document processes, and translate business needs into clear technical or functional actions.
  • Strong project coordination skills, including tracking tasks, timelines, risks, and follow-ups.
  • Ability to support testing, deployments, change management, and user training activities.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across IT, Finance, and external vendors.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy, documentation, and process consistency.
  • Strong organizational and customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily support for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Navision, and finance systems by troubleshooting issues and assisting users.
  • Act as primary IT contact for Finance, prioritizing requests and communicating updates.
  • Manage help desk tickets, escalating issues as needed.
  • Support user access, system configurations, and routine administration.
  • Coordinate finance-related IT projects, including ERP enhancements and integrations.
  • Track timelines, tasks, risks, and deliverables to support successful project execution.
  • Gather requirements and collaborate with Finance, IT, and vendors on solution design.
  • Assist with system upgrades, deployments, and post-go-live support.
  • Support user acceptance testing, defect tracking, and validation of fixes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and system usability.
  • Assist with data validation across Business Central, Power BI, and reporting systems.
  • Maintain documentation, test scripts, and training materials.
  • Act as liaison between Finance, IT, and external partners.
  • Support change management, governance, and system controls.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Promote teamwork, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
