About The Position

This position will be based full-time in our Houston, TX office located in CityCentre. This role will support NuScale's Executive team and will be required to travel as needed. Candidates must be able to clearly demonstrate prior experience supporting senior level personnel within a corporate environment. POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Helpdesk Supervisor, the IT Executive Support – level 4 position works directly with company executives across all departments to ensure the smooth operation of IT related equipment and software. This position is expected to follow through on support requests, changes, and projects as necessary to ensure customer support standards are met or exceeded. This position is an escalation point for complex technical issues and will take ownership of incidents, problems, projects, and systems. While not directly responsible for managing staff, this role will act as a technical team lead. This position does require occasional travel.

Requirements

  • A bachelor degree and 6+ years of full-time progressive IT experience. or
  • Associates degree and 8+ years of full-time progressive IT experience. or
  • 10+ years of progressive full-time IT experience in lieu of formal degree
  • A minimum of 6-10 years of full-time working experience is required (see above for minimum work + education required).
  • Must have significant experience supporting executive level and C-Suite staff.
  • Must have the ability to travel domestically and internationally using common forms of transportation.
  • Windows client support: Windows 11/10
  • Apple client support: iOS, iPad OS, and Mac OS X
  • Experience supporting layer 2 & 3 networking
  • Device management & deployment in an enterprise environment
  • Experience implementing complex IT systems
  • Experience supporting Virtual Private Networks (VPNs)
  • Active Directory user administration (both on premises and Entra ID)
  • Exchange user administration in a hybrid environment
  • Understanding of User Access Control
  • Understanding of basic security principles
  • Windows server 2012 R2/2016/2019/2022
  • IP telephony - adds/moves/changes/conference systems/media bridge
  • Setup and support of large-scale A/V conferences, meetings, and/or events
  • ITSM/ITIL best practices
  • Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance, serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues, and formally train executives in the use and operation of their computer
  • Perform hardware maintenance; coordinates repairs and installation of equipment with vendors as necessary
  • Tests, provides feedback, and implements new software and hardware needed to satisfy business requirements
  • Tracks program area problems and monitors system for efficiency and effectiveness; recommends and implements procedural changes in assigned area; performs systems analysis
  • Installs, upgrades, and configures systems in both on-premises and cloud configurations as appropriate
  • Leads assigned projects and coordinates with other parties as needed to drive completion
  • Coordinates support activities within the group. This may include server, networking, and security related activities
  • Track asset utilization and assist in the management of the hardware and software asset lifecycle
  • Guide and mentor team members to support skill development
  • Other duties as assigned
